Choosing to work with the Autobots, Lord Zarak sends his Decepticons to help Optimus Prime.Īt this point the Autobot Shuttle has rendezvous with the Ark and now even more Autobots are endangered of die as no one is able to disarm the ticking time bomb on board. Optimus Prime just starts to mentally put things together when Starscream sends his Pretender shell to battle the Autobot leader. On Earth, Starscream has started to battle Scorponok’s boys, all the while spouting he is doing this for Megatron. Ratchet tends to the issues concerning the Ark and the explosives on board. Megatron, who would like to find out what ratchet has done, is interrupted by the return of BumbleBee (YES BUMBLEBEE! Thank you Simon Furman!). Starscream isn’t quite the mindless zombie he had hopped for. It is then that Ratchet shows his hand to Megatron. Megatron is amused by Ratchet’s attempt to over take him. Thought it appears that because Grimlock is still in mid recoup mode, Megatron is able to get the upper hand on him. We flip open this floppy to find that the ferocious Grimlock has gone right to work on Megatron. Written near the bottom, “Not a HOAX–not a DREAM– THIS issue, an Autobot DIES!” I found this to be underplayed in the story. The whole cover feels like it is a live with movement and your eye tries to take in everything going on here. In the background Megatron steps forward in what I find to be one of the better renders Delbo has done of Megatron thus far. It looks more like a random laser mounting.) At the same time Grimlock is taking on fire. (Though it’s hard to see the Sports Car patrol. Grimlock is depicted going after the Sports car patrol. That, along with the background colors used for an explosion add to the effect. The background is teared in colored layers. But before we get into what happens within the pages of issue 59, lets us scope out this Jose Delbo cover. The last few issues and this one have all had the same writer and artist and I think that has helped a lot with keeping me interested in what is going to happen next. Good Consistency is what I can say about this issue. The issue ends with Charlie breaking in to Aunt May's house.Consistency. Thinking Peter betrayed him, Charlie escapes to make good on his promise to murder Peter's loved ones. This leads Charlie to assume that Peter told Spider-Man to ambush him. Spider-Man attacks, but accidentally reveals that he knows Charlie's name. Later, Spider-Man is waiting in ambush at the spot where Charlie and Peter are supposed to meet. He anticipates things with Charlie not going well. ![]() During this time, Peter goes to Mary Jane's rehearsal and tells her to grab May and check in to a hotel after she's finished. Enraged, Charlie goes to the bully's house, murders him and his wife. This lie prompts a flashback where we see this bully trick him in to talking to the cheerleaders so that he can knock him down, take his pants, and embarrass him in front of the girls. The bully acts like he was always sympathetic towards Charlie and even tried to help him fit in with the popular crowd. Word of his accident has gotten out and the press are interviewing people who knew him. While gathering his things in his apartment, Charlie sees his old high school bully and his wife (Charlie's high school crush) on TV talking about him. Peter will then go in to a bank, cash the check, and then give the money back to Charlie. Charlie says he's going to go back to his apartment, get his checkbook, and write a check payable to Peter for all of the money he's got left from Stark. He tells Peter that if he doesn't help him get the remaining money from Tony Stark's grant, he'll kill Peter and his loved ones.
